News (23-05-2012) – An adventure in Belgium!

Yes, the title says it all, I’ll be undertaking an adventure in the country that according to the Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy was not meant to be… okay that was bad, but I couldn’t resist!

Seriously though, there’s a good reason for me to go to the deeper south. I have been invited to sing for the Road To Consciousness project, which is the musical child of Bernard Daubresse. (Who is also active as a guitarist/composer in Lovelorn.) Bernard released the first Road To Consciousness record in 2010 and it was received with much critical acclaim.

Bernard had been working on reshaping this project for a live setting for a while and approached yours truly asking if I would want to provide vocals on some of the songs. I gladly accepted the challenge and I am now rehearsing the songs and working hard to get them into my system.
I will be singing lead vocals and sharing songs with multiple singers so this could be a sight to behold!

The first gig that I will be playing for this project will take place on the 16th of June in Brussels in a venue called Collectivo Garcia Lorca. Ofcourse it would be awesome to see a lot of people there. Next to the RTC show there will also be performances by Lovelorn and Elyose, so a night’s worth of musical entertainment is guaranteed!

So, that is what I have been working on lately besides finishing the Brother EP and rehearsing for Mind:Soul gigs. I’m very excited to take on this adventure and hope that the result will be satisfying!
